TEACH FOR ARMENIA movement
Teach For Armenia began with an ambitious mission to transform the education system in Armenia. By catalyzing a nationwide movement of impact-driven leaders, we seek to provide access to an excellent education for all children across the country.
Teach For Armenia recruits, trains, and places “Fellows” (participants selected into our Fellowship) to teach in Armenia’s most underserved schools and disadvantaged communities for a minimum of 2 years. They also work to inspire the local community, leading by example and directing grassroots development projects.
Throughout their two-year commitment, Fellows participate in our Leadership Development Program. Through teacher leadership, we help to ensure that educational excellence and opportunity reaches every child across Armenia.
We also cultivate champions for educational excellence. We build a movement of lifelong advocates for educational equity whose leadership is formed by their classroom experiences. Throughout their two-year commitment and beyond, these leaders work toward the vision of a better Armenia.
Teach For Armenia has shown the promise of its vision, impacting tens of thousands of students each day. Our Fellows work in schools across the country as teachers, mentors, and leaders who will continue to make a difference even after their two-year commitment. We have created a growing movement of educational advocacy within Armenia and beyond.
