Applicant’s journey

This is your first opportunity to tell us about yourself. In the online application you will be asked to provide contact details and information regarding your academic and extracurricular achievements, an employment history, a personal letter of intent, and responses to background and personal questions. You may save your application and return to it at a later date, but all applications must be submitted in full prior to the deadlines outlined above to be considered.

PHONE INTERVIEW

The phone interview assesses your competencies and fit with Teach For Armenia and lets you learn more about the organization and our work. You will be contacted ahead of time to schedule your interview, with a choice of dates and times to select from. Please ensure that you are fully prepared prior to the interview time.

TESTING

 

TESTING

The candidates will pass a test on the subject(s) that they applied to teach. Besides they will receive an analytical and Engish languages tasks. The tests will check the school program knowledge of the candidate for the given subject(s) and will allow to assess their capacity to teach the given subject. You will be notified in advance of the testing location and time.

The all day interview process is comprised of several stages, including but not limited to:

Pre-Service Online Training Course

Pre-Service Online Training Course

Pre-Service Online Training Course is required of every candidate accepted into the Leadership Development Program. The Pre-Service Online Training is a 5-week course which is conducted entirely online. Every week, candidates are expected to complete a series of assignments that are designed to provide further information about Teach For Armenia, the Leadership Development Program and Teacher Leadership Academy. In order to better prepare candidates for Teacher-Leadership Academy that takes place throughout the month of July, it is expected that every candidate successfully completes the online course before attending TLA in July.

TEACHER-LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

TEACHER-LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

AN INTENSIVE, FIVE-WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM TO PREPARE NEW PARTICIPANTS TO ENTER THEIR CLASSROOMS AND COMMUNITIES AS TEACHERS AND LEADERS.

 

During our Academy, as part of our Leadership Development Program, we provide you the knowledge, skills, and experience to be successful in your placements. Teacher Leadership Academy is a rigorous program that combines theoretical and practical learning sessions. Recruits are required to attend all lessons and workshops throughout this five-week period. In addition, you must submit all assignments and deliverables on time throughout the duration of the program. Part of this intensive training includes a Summer School for local students. Recruits teach summer classes in order to put theory into practice and be fully prepared for their two-year commitment.
